I think of myself as a creative enthusiast in the areas of photography, video & music. While video related work is mainly a hobby and is certainly incidental in nature, I spend a fair amount of time on the other two. Photography in particular is something I really enjoy doing. The process can be time consuming, especially if one shoots too many pictures. I’m teaching myself to be selective about what I shoot and to minimize the number of times I release the shutter button. I recently started exploring HDR photography. It can be a lot of fun and sometimes the results are amazing. The interesting thing though, is that what’s captured in a photograph can be very different from both reality as well as what you see in your mind’s eye; to some extent the fun lies in building a story for each picture after the fact. And so, many pictures on this website are presented in post-processed grayscale.
The concept of Life in 8 seconds is to be able to show things that happen around us, in approximately 8 second video clips. You might expect to see a lot of video on this site, however, it turns out that I have a lot more photos to share from my collection. It goes without saying that you can stare at these photos as long as you want; no 8 second limit there. In order to stay true to the original concept, I will be adding more video over time.
I hope that you will enjoy seeing the world through my eyes, and I hope that you will come back for more.
Enjoy!
